PTA REfLections theme for 2024-2025 is "accepting imperfection"

=Started in 1969 by the Colorado PTA President Mary Lou Anderson, Reflections has encouraged millions of students to express themselves by giving positive recognition for their artistic efforts. More than 200,000 students participate annually in the Reflections Program. Any PTA in good standing is eligible to sponsor Reflections on their campus.
What is the PTA Reflections Program?
The National PTA Reflections Program is an arts recognition and achievement program for students in preschool through grade 12. The program is designed to enhance art education for students by encouraging them to create works of art in the areas of visual arts, literature, photography, musical composition, dance choreography, or film production.
Who can participate at Beckendorff Junior High?
Students in grades 6th-8th from Beckendorff JH with at least one person from their primary household with a BDJH PTA Membership can participate in the Reflections Program.

Eligible students may submit an entry in any or all of the six art areas:
What is the Theme the Submission Deadline?
All Reflections submissions are due at BDJH on October 30, 2024. All entries must contain a completed student entry form along with the artwork’s title and artist statement. Students may submit Reflections Entries at their Grade Level AP Offices beginning on October 1 in the basket labeled "Reflections". Entries must follow all Reflections Program Official Participation Rules.
Where can I find Entry Forms and Participation Rules?
All Reflections Entry Forms and Participation Rules are available for students to pick up at the BDJH Library or download at the buttons at the top of this page.
How can parents support their students in the Reflections program?
Make sure your children's submission adheres to the rules. Support your child in working independently (done with minimal supervision) to create an original piece of art inspired by the theme "I AM HOPEFUL BECAUSE". Ensure your child articulates and explains how their artwork relates to the theme on the Artist's Statement located on the entry form.
