8th Grade Dance Ticket
BDJH 8th Grade Dance - A Night in Paris
Saturday, May 3rd
7pm - 10pm
The BDJH 8th Grade Dance, "A Night in Paris", will include a DJ with music for dancing, games, photo booth, light snacks and refreshments. The theme of the event is “Paris" and the event will be held at BDJH.
Tickets
NO REFUNDS will be granted for any reason.
$30 through April 25th
$40 from April 26th to May 2nd
$50 on May 3rd (CASH ONLY, at the door of the dance. Parents must park and pay/check-in their student)
- A physical ticket will not be given. An email confirmation is sent to the parent after purchasing the ticket. (Please make sure you get this email).
- Students will check in with their ID at the dance
- By purchasing a ticket online, you are giving your student permission to attend and agreeing to the Event Guidelines below.
- - For this reason, Parent's/Guardians can only purchase their own student's ticket, not anyone else's. Parents who wish to purchase a ticket on May 4th are required to park and come into the school to complete a student permission slip.
EVENT GUIDELINES
- Read the event guidelines below. Please make sure that your student reads these guidelines and agrees to follow them.
- You must be a current BDJH 8th grade student to attend (no friends from other schools or grades).
- No parent may attend unless they are an official PTA dance volunteer.
- We will begin checking in students promptly at 7 pm.
- In order to maintain a safe environment, students must arrive at the party by 8pm and are expected to remain until the event ends.
- Students who arrive after 8 pm will not be admitted.
- Students who leave the party early for any reason will not be allowed to return.
- Dates are not necessary. Go have fun with your friends.
Safety
The event will be a lock-in for security purposes. Students will be inside the BDJH building.
A security officer will be present and campus administration will be on duty.
Parents who wish to pick up their student early (before 9:55 pm) can do so only if the parent/guardian (identification required) comes into the campus rotunda and signs out the student at the time they are leaving. You may NOT pick up students from another family early. Students who leave early, may not return to the party. No limousines allowed (KISD policy).
Drop-Off
- Parents will drop off students in the FRONT CARPOOL LINE starting at 7 pm.
- Students must arrive by 8 pm to enter the party.
Pick-Up
- Students must stay for the entire event and should be picked up by their parents. Parents may start arriving at 9:55 pm.
- Students will be picked up by parents at the FRONT CARPOOL LINE.
- NO walking or riding a bike home.
Behavior
- Inappropriate behavior will result in removal from the party.
- All KISD rules will be strictly enforced (see the KISD Discipline Management Plan).
- Students will be expected to dance appropriately (no “grinding”).
- Students will be given one warning for inappropriate behavior. If they do not comply, they will be asked to leave the event.
- Behavior Eligibility: Only eighth grade students attending Beckendorff Junior High may attend the dance. Students who have been out of school suspended, referred to or attending OAC, or assigned to In School Suspension (ISS) for two or more days between March 17, 2025 and May 2, 2025 may NOT attend. Please remember, most level III offenses carry consequences that could include 1 or more days of In-School Suspension (ISS).
- Katy ISD Code of Conduct: Students must be in compliance with the Katy ISD Code of Conduct at all times during the dance. If a student violates the Code of Conduct, they will be immediately removed from the dance and will be subject to school and/or legal disciplinary action.
Phones
- Students are permitted to bring cell phones or cameras.
- Phone use should be for photos or to contact parents only.
Dress Code
- The dress code policy will be enforced.
- If you are in violation of the dress code, you will be stopped at the front door, and will be asked to correct the violation before entering.
- If you have a question about if your planned attire is appropriate, send a photo to Mr. Morrison, 8th Grade Assistant Principal, to approve it.
Allowed Attire
- Spaghetti straps
- One shoulder dress
- Halter tops are allowed, but must not have a low back
Attire That is Not Allowed
- No bare mid-riffs
- No bare feet
- No strapless dresses/tops
- No off-the-shoulder dresses/tops
- No backless dresses/tops
- No low necklines
- Slits may not be above the mid-thigh
- No excessively baggy pants
- No pants with holes/rips in any location
By filling out this form and paying for the ticket,
- The 8th grade student and their Parent/Guardian are acknowledging that they have read and are agreeing to the Dance Guidelines.
- The Parent/Guardian is also giving permission for their 8th grade student to attend the dance.
DONATE & Birthday Marquee
Make a Donation to BDJH PTA
Thank you for considering a donation to BDJH PTA where funds raised go directly to helping our Beckendorff Bears. Donation items are set amounts, however, if you wish to donate more simply add to your item quantity (i.e. quantity of 2 would equal a donation of $20).
Birthday Marquee Messages
Say Happy Birthday to your student! Birthday messages displayed on the BDJH marquee are available for a donation of $30 per day. Marquee messages for the 2024-2025 school year must be prepaid online through the BDJH PTA spirit store at least five business days prior to the date of display.
